I don't enjoy !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! posts on the front page. This isn't your old magazine. Most importantly, this isn't a place to post a reference to your other website. We have this beautiful, sometimes problematic, commenting system for a reason.
I understand that you guys may have problems accounting and receiving advertising payment for Kinja traffic, but please figure it out if you're going to keep on with this hopeless symbiotic relationship with our beloved Jalopnik.com.
I don't know what the payment terms are for your continued promotion, but I hope they're a butt-load and help send Matt and the boys on awesome !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I dunno, some of the R&T folks are pretty cool.

I'm not trying to put down the people.
I just would like to click on a font page link and have it cohesively seam together with the rest of Jalopnik.

I don't understand the problem.

I hear you...I. think it could work if it wasn't for Kinja.

You could always try just not reading that stuff if you don't like it that much.

You realize those posts only go to the front page if a Jalop editor shares it, right? It's always seemed like pertinent info to me.

It's the linkception that bothers me. If they would post the full article and then put a link at the bottom I'd be totally fine with it.

Yes, I'm not denying that.

Same here, I'd much rather see car related R&T and Racer links than completely unrelated Deadspin or Jezebel links.

It's an SEO thing. Posting content on your site that is elsewhere on the internet is a negative signal to search engines. You can quote things, and even post whole articles, but unless you add something of value to the article that you're posting, you're not getting any credit for it. If you fail to do that too often, it can become detrimental. You can thank the Google Panda update for making all of these extra shenanigans necessary in content networks.

If you look at most of what Jesus Diaz does for Gawker, it's that sort of repackaging of content that we're talking about here.
The stuff he does create is crap, but he's definitely a content mill.

Personally, I like them..

Marshall Pruett was the best thing that Speedtv.com had and he lives for sports car and indycar. He's at Racer now and I don't mind his stuff up showing here at all.
